The NFL Season is 4 Short Days Away

2 min read

The 101th NFL season is just 5 short days away. The anticipation for all those football fans has been just unbearable. The Pandemic has messed with sporting events all around the world, and in the NFL’s case that means no preseason sadly. Meaning no warmup or practice games before the season. Which every player could use before any major sports season.

This will be particularly hard on the rookies and semi new players. When they take to the field for the first time there will be no do overs or shuffling of the offensive or defensive lines. However, the upside is that the players do have a bit more time to mentally prepare for the first game of their seasons.

The first game and kick-off of this NFL 2020-2021 season is going to be a battle between two of the league’s best teams. QB Patrick Mahomes of the previous Super Bowl campions the Kansas City Chiefs will face off against QB Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans. The Texans have a lot to prove after losing to the Chiefs in the Divisional Round earlier this year 51 to 31. The Texans all in all finished the 2019-2020 season strong.

The Chiefs will be playing on their home turf at Arrowhead Stadium, only fitting for the former champions. The game and season opener will be Thursday September 10th. The game is sure to not only be interesting, but also something that everyone needs right now.

2020 has been one crazy and dare I say bad year, but one thing never changes no matter what’s going on in the world. And that is the amazing, exciting, and grit of professional football. It will be nice to talk about something that isn’t pandemic related. Bring on professional Football.

LET THE SEASON BEGIN!
