2 min read

Sunday night football left us with an epic battle against two of the league’s best teams and Quarterbacks. The swift moves of QB Drew Brees were hard to contain throughout the entire game. However, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers kept cool heads and managed to keep their lead and win by only 7 points, leaving the final score 37 to 30.

Green Bay started their opening drive with a Rodgers sack but were able to leave it with some points with a 52-yard field goal. The Saints promptly responded with a 4 play 2-minute touchdown drive. After this the Pack did respond but only with another field-goal.

Rodgers then gets one more chance to score the Packers first touchdown of the game and still can’t pull off the big play and they have to settle for another field goal which then puts the score at 6 to 7 Saints ahead. After a Saints 3 and out, the Packers manage to score their first touchdown of the game with a scoring pass caught by receiver Allen Lazard, making the score 13 to 7.

Before the end of the first half the Saints managed to bag a Field Goal and a touchdown, but the Packers will receive the ball to start the second half. The Packers manage a quick 2-minute touchdown to start out the third Quarter. The Saints then make a massive mistake which costs them good field position with a false start. New Orleans then has to settle for a Field Goal, making the score 20 all.

After this tie both teams’ mange to best one another with a Packers touchdown and then right after a Saints touchdown. Now its 27 to 27. The Packers manage a Field Goal making the score 30 to 27. The Packers then manage one more touchdown before the 2 min warning. The Saints within this time frame manage to score a Field Goal but fail on an attempted onside kick.

The Pack manage to come out on top by the skin of their teeth with a final score of 37 to 30. One thing should be said both QB Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees are both amazing players but the best QB of the night was # 12 Rodgers.
