All Star Manny Machado is now a Happy Rich Baseballer, Signing Histories Third Largest Sporting Contract!

All-Star in fielder Manny Machado has signed a whopping 10 year $300-million contract with the San-Diego Padres. One of the largest in Major League Baseball history.

The 26-year-old along with fellow all-star Bryce Harper remained unsigned with important and ever-changing spring training. Machado’s hit rate last year was .297 with 37 home runs, 107 RBIs, and 14 stolen bases. He also can play two positions which can be rare at times for any professional Baseball player. He can play both Short-Stop and third-base. Before this contact offer Machado played for the Baltimore Orioles.

This kind of money is not to out of the ordinary for the Padres. The team spent $474 million in free agents over the past two years. Which is the most in MLB history according to ESPN rates. Machado has hit more than 30 home runs in each of the last four seasons, however many critics have found his attitude and work ethic questionable.

With this deal all but signed it is now classified as the second highest in baseball history. It is also the third highest in all sports contracts worldwide. The top spot is still occupied by boxer Canelo Alvarez. Who signed a staggering $365 million deal with the broadcaster DAZN. Giancarlo Stanton signed a $325 million contract with the Miami Marlins.

One thing is for certain with these kinds of price tags attached the San-Diego Padres need Manny at the top of his game for the upcoming season. $300 millions means little room for error or arrogance.
