All Smiles in Minnesota for the Pack!

2 min read

It was all smiles on the home turf of the Vikings when Green Bay despite all the chatter and feelings around the NFL managed to put all the doubters to rest in not only securing the possibility of a 1 seed placing, but also knocking the Vikings all the way down to the 6th seed.

The start of this game looked very questionable for the Pack with an early fumble that gave the Vikings great field position. They however were unable to come away with a touchdown and the Packers defence managed to limit them to a field goal. The packers managed to come back and tie the game 3 to 3 near the end of the 1st quarter.

Going into the 2nd quarter Packer Quarterback Aaron Rodgers did something out of character and unheard of in his career. An interception straight into the hands of the Vikings gives them an easy touchdown later by Diggs. This interception was only his third of the entire season, and his first out of 238 passing attempts. The Packers after this managed to have two more okay drives but even after 12 plays are just limited to a field goal making the score 6 to 10 now in the 2nd quarter.

Much of the rest of the 2nd quarter went the way of the Vikings however right before the end of the first half the Packers were able to put together quite a promising drive unfortunately; they were stuck settling for yet another field goal making the score 9 to 10. However, it wasn’t all Vikings as they were unable to convert a single first down in their first four drives.

Rodgers was sacked for the third time in the match during the 3rd quarter, but an interception made by the Pack right near the endzone gave Green Bay life and with their capitalization on that opportunity they were able to score a touchdown and complete a successful two-point conversion. This drive was only 8 plays and went for 53 yards with Jeronimo Allison as the hero.

And as the game continued into the fourth quarter the Packers managed another touchdown drive with WR Aaron Jones having a touchdown completion of his own. This gives the Packers the NFC North title and puts them just one game win away from a nice relaxing bye week to start off the Playoffs. A final score finishing at,

23 to 10 with the Packers on top. The Vikings are stills set to be in the playoffs as well but as the last and final 6th seed. The Packers now head to Detroit to face the 3-11 record team the Lions. The Vikings host another game against the Chicago Bears.

These games are each of these teams last matches of the season in this NFL Week 17 end. After each the post-season will start. Celebrating the NFL’s 100th season.
